Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the DCI Community Housing Services Social Housing Project at Goodwood Station.

To apply for this social housing project kindly note the following.

  • You need to earn a minimum of R1500.00 and a maximum of R22 500.00 per month to qualify, please note this is a combined gross household income.
  • You must be a South African citizen or have permanent residence. ( please submit a certified copy of the permanent resident certificate with your application form)
  • If you’re single , you can apply on your own.
  • If you’re married or have a partner and both of, you’ll are employed, please provide the supporting documents for the both you’ll. If only one spouse is employed, then please complete the form with the details of the spouse who is currently employed, you’ll add your spouse who is unemployed as dependant under column B Household Composition.
  • Our units are strictly RENTAL, and not to buy!
  • Kindly note that there is an application fee of R300, however this is only payable at a later stage.
  • Please note that this social housing project has nothing to do with the City of Cape Town or Counsel housing waiting list, so anyone can apply.

  • Our site office is only open on Monday’s (excluding public holidays) from 09:00-16:00 and closed between 13:00-14:00 for lunch.
  • Our WhatsApp line 066 571 0251 is available for general queries regarding the Goodwood Station project.
  • There is no closing date for application submission.

If you’re self-employed we’ll need the following:
  • Certified ID Copies of applicant and spouse ( if applicable)
  • Certified copies of dependant birth certificates or ID’s.
  • If you married, divorce or a widow then we’ll need certified copies of those documents.
  • Three months bank statement.
  • Payslips not older than three months.
  • For a weekly wage we need x4 payslips of one month
  • For a fourth-night wage we need x2/3 payslips for one month
  • for a monthly salary, we need the latest month payslip.
  • If you do not receive a payslip at your place of employment, you may request a letter from work, stating that you’re employed and your gross monthly income.
  • An affidavit if you’re the legal guardian of any persons, including grand and great-grandchildren.

If you’re self-employed we’ll need the following:
  • Certified ID Copies of applicant and spouse ( if applicable)
  • Certified copies of dependant birth certificates or ID’s.
  • If you married, divorce or a widow then we’ll need certified copies of those documents.
  • Three months bank statement.
  • You need an affidavit at the police station, stating that you’re self- employed and your gross monthly income.
  • Business registration documents.
  • An affidavit if you’re the legal guardian of any persons, including grand and great-grandchildren.

If you’re earning a pension or disability grant, then we’ll need the following:
  • Certified ID Copies of applicant and spouse ( if applicable)
  • Certified copies of dependant birth certificates or ID’s.
  • If you married, divorce or a widow then we’ll need certified copies of those documents.
  • Three months bank statement.
  • If you have a Post Bank Account ( SASSA CARD) then you need to go to your nearest post office and request a three-month bank statement. Please note that you will need to provide the Teller at the Post office with an email address where they can email the statement to your email address for you to print out, as the Post Office printers are out of service.
  • You need an affidavit at the police station, stating that you’re receiving a grant recipient and the amount you receive per month.
  • We need a letter from SASSA confirming that you are receiving a grant.
  • Affidavit or legal guardianship of grand and great-grandchildren.
  • An affidavit if you’re the legal guardian of any persons, including grand and great-grandchildren.
